Senator Teslim Folarin Loses Wife at 47; Orji Kalu Reacts

Oyo Central Senator Teslim Folarin has lost his wife, Chief (Barr.) Angela Nwaka Folarin, at the age of 47 in the United Kingdom. The late Angela Nwaka died on Friday, January 28, 2022, and the news of her death was broken by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Folarin, YSO Olaniyi.

“With total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we announce the death of our wife, mother and sister, Chief (Barr.) Angela Nwaka Folarin,” Olaniyi announced in a statement. “The wife of Oyo Central Senator was confirmed dead on Friday afternoon. She breathed her last in UK. The deceased was hale and hearty until the angel of death knocked the door.”

With a lot of condolence messages pouring in for the senator, the Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu, has also expressed sadness over the loss of Angela Nwaka. The former governor of Abia State said the deceased was a woman of virtue who stood staunchly by her husband in his political endeavours.

“I received with pain the news of the passing of the wife of Senator Teslim Folarin, Mrs. Angela Folarin,” Kalu stated. “She was a virtuous woman who committed her resources to the empowerment of women. The deceased played noble roles in the advancement of the cause of the people by complimenting her husband’s humanitarian gestures. Her demise is a huge loss to the womenfolk.”

Angela Nwaka’s cause of death has not been disclosed, and her family and friends as well as associates in Ibadan are presently mourning her loss.
