Jim Iyke Paid Me N4.8 Million to Beat Me Up in Viral Video – Uche Maduagwu
Uche Maduagwu has revealed in a tell-it-all interview that he was paid N4.8 million for Jim Iyke to beat him up in a video that went viral last year. The actor and brand influencer said the public beating was for a role in Iyke’s new movie Bad Comments.
He said it was all a publicity stunt, and that the stunt paid off handsomely because he did not only get paid well, the movie garnered considerable revenue. He said the stunt and resultant movie shot him and Iyke to the top of their games across Africa.
In the viral video stunt, Maduagwu questioned Iyke’s source of wealth and labelled him a ritualist for having so much money with no inexplicable sources. Iyke on the other hand attacked him for labelling him a ritualist, and it took the intervention of friends present at the scene to separate them and restrain Iyke.
“He paid me N3.6 million to promote Bad Comments movie and added N1.2 million after it went viral,” Maduagwu boasted. “I’m not just the most talked-about movie star in Africa. I’m the biggest brand influencer.”
Bad Comments was directed by Moses and became the most talked-about movie in Africa in 2021, Maduagwu revealed.
“Jim Iyke is like a big brother to me,” he stated. “He saw potentials in me. Today, Bad Comments movie became the biggest cinema film in 2021 because he saw my brand influencing power and worked with me. Mr. Moses is a great director too. I influence brands to success because I am the most talked-about movie star for Africa.”
